Milonga Class and Guided Practice

Monday, September 6 - Labor Day
$12 - includes class & practice
Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre

Milonga Class, 8-9pm:   For advanced beginners and up - command of tango basics is expected. No partner or advance registration is needed. Dancers of a similar level will partner together during the class. We will start with milonga basics, and progress to more advanced movements. If you are taking the class, please arrive a few minutes early.

Guided Practice, 9-10:00pm:   The practice session is for all levels. No partner needed. Come work on technique and vocabulary from classes, videos, and your imagination. Get help from Rick and Lynda if desired. We'll play tangos, valses, and milongas.

About the Workshop:   No partner or previous dance experience needed. Advance registration is required.  Please send your name and phone number to Judy Hall, jhall3861@charter.net, or call 334-277-3861. Checks should be made out to Judy Hall, and mailed to 506 Fieldbrook Dr., Montgomery, AL 36117. Judy will confirm your spot in the workshop, as the leader-follower balance unfolds.

About the milonga:   beautiful dance floor, tables and chairs, refreshments provided. Tangos, valses, and milongas, played in tandas - sets of 3, with a possible salsa, or swing played during the afternoon.

Tango Immersion - Fundamentals Workshop

Saturday, October 2, 2010
1-4pm, $40 per person
Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre

For those brand new to tango, and for new-ish tangueros wanting to gain more confidence and clarity in their basics. We'll cover the tango posture, the connection between the partners, basic vocabulary, and navigating the dance floor.

No partner or previous dance experience needed.

Fees & Shoes:  Please arrive 12:45pm to check in, pay the workshop fee - cash/check to Lynda Wilson, and change shoes if need be. Smooth-soled, closed-toe shoes, with medium to low heels are recommended for this workshop.

Bonus: Participants will receive a coupon for admission to Barrio Norte Milonga, a tango party, held on October 9.
